The Inauguration ceremony of the World’s first-ever Diploma Course in Buddhist Jurisprudence was successfully held on 19/03/2022 at The NIIBS Conventions Centre. His Lordship Jayantha Jayasuriya Chief Justice of Democratic Socialized Republic Sri Lanka graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Prof. G. L. Peiris, Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered the Keynote Address. Maha Nayaka Theros, Members of Sangha, Hon.Ali Sabry, Ministry of Justice, Justice Sonam Tobgye, Rtd Chief Justice of the Kingdom of Bhutan, Ambassadors, Attorney General, Justices from the Supreme Court and appeal court also graced this historical event.
Venerable Dr. Bodagama Chandima Nayaka Thero, Vice-Chancellor of NIIBS, Mr. Jagath Sumathipala Director of NIIBS, Mr. Prasantha Lal De. Alwis, Head/Department of Buddhist Jurisprudence & members of NIIBS academic/non-academic were also present.
