International Conference on Psychology and Mental Health (ICPMH)

The counselling psychotherapy Unit established in NIIBS has opened doors for an ICPMH and for a series of on Psychology. Scholars have been provided with opportunities to present researchers on psychology for the promotion of Mental Health through this research conference.

A grand opportunity has also been provided to undergraduates, graduates, post-graduates, professionals and new researches to investigate how for Buddhism, Ayurveda, Abhidhamma, Yoga, BACP, Buddhist Psychotherapy, Rituals and Culture, Clinical Psychology and Meditation could be helpful to promote Mental Health.

Also opportunities have been provided to many a scholars who hope to undergo internship period in Psychology and also to professional counsellors, doctors, engineers and lawyers to present their own research through Mental Health Research Project of NIIBS.

Nāgānanda Mental Health Research Project intends to solve social problems such as misuse of internet & smart phones, various kinds of addictions including drugs, phobias. Scholars of NIIBS research project have been provided the opportunity to present their own research at this conference.

The first conference on psychology & Mental Health is held on 22.02.2024. This Conference is held under the direction and guidance of Ven. Dr. Bodagama Chandima Thero, Vice Chancellor and Ven. Dr. Dampe Vijitharathana Thero, Dean of the Faculty of Buddhist Studies. The task of organizing, creating and chairing are all done by Dr. Kalyani Ruwanpathirana, Head of the Counselling Psychotherapy Unit of the Faculty of Buddhist Studies of the NIIBS.
