Faculty of Buddhist Studies of NIIBS was established in 2020 with the sole intention of posturing the major Classical Traditions of Buddhism - Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana worldwide.
It is with great pleasure that I send this message to the students of Nāgānanda International Institute for Buddhist Studies (NIIBS). It is with a great sense of complacency that we note down that our Faculty of Buddhist Studies is making vast strides and headway day by day within this relatively short period of time. Keeping in line with the aspiration and objective held by Right Ven. Dr. Bodagama Chandima Thero, the pioneering architect and founder of this Institute, our prime objective is to make Nāgānanda International Institute for Buddhist Studies (NIIBS) into an esteemed and prestigious academy and seat of higher learning on par with the age-old Nalanda University fame. It should be mentioned that a highly qualified academic staff and a non-academic staff equipped with a vast wealth of experience are committed to make this purpose a practical reality and dedicated to work hard for the advancement of this institute. Availability of all these facilities afforded here, I wish you all be blessed with the potentiality, energy and vigour to march forward as great productive citizens not only to our country but to the whole world.
