A Transformative Workshop on Preventing Screen Addiction & Mental Health First Aid

On 2nd July 2025, the Nāgānanda International Institute for Buddhist Studies (NIIBS), in collaboration with Biyagama Central College, hosted an enlightening workshop organized by the Psychology & Mental Health Research Professional Association (PMHRPA) and the Counselling Psychotherapy Unit, NIIBS. This impactful session focused on preventing screen addiction and mental health first aid, empowering participants to lead balanced and mindful lives in today’s digital age.

The workshop was graced by Dean, Faculty of Buddhist Studies, Ven. Dr. Dampe Vijitharathana Thero, who delivered inspiring Opening Remarks and also served as a resource person, sharing profound insights.

This workshop was a meaningful step towards prioritizing mental health, integrating Buddhist wisdom, and breaking free from digital overload. A heartfelt thank you to all participants, Biyagama Central College, and our esteemed resource persons for making this event a success!
