The “Tharana 2022” farewell ceremony, organized by the 2022 student batch of the Faculty of Buddhist Studies at Nāgānanda International Institute for Buddhist Studies, was held in a grand manner on the 19th of February 2025.
The event was graced by the presence of a distinguished gathering of academic and administrative dignitaries. Among them were Ven. Dr. Dampe Vijithrathana Thero, Ven. Sooriyawewa Sumedha Thero, and Ven. Pelawaththe Rathanasiri Thero from the academic clergy. Additionally, the ceremony was attended by Registrar Piyaratna Ranasinghe Arachchi, Assistant Registrar Pushpini Kavindya, Dr. Hasantha Samarasinghe, Dr. Kumari Madanayake, Dr. Indra Chandramali, Lecturer Suneth Bandara, Lecturer Samantha Opanayake, Lecturer Sampath Suranga, and Lecturer Nuwanthi Kaushalya from the faculty.
This occasion served as a meaningful platform for fostering strong bonds and valuable experiences for the academics of the Faculty of Buddhist Studies, Nāgānanda International Institute for Buddhist Studies.
