The New Year festival “Kovul Wasanthaya” jointly organized by the faculty of Buddhist Studies and the other faculties was ceremonially held on 30th of April 2023. After singing of the university anthem, a pot of milk was boiled and coconut oil lamp was lit and refreshment was served to the participant.
Next, folk games and the other forms of games and sports were held. Further, skills and talents of undergraduates were showcased at this festival. Finally “Aurudu Kumara” and “Aurudu Kumari” were selected and the festival closed followed by the distribution of presents.
