Mental stress has rapidly increased in the modern world, leading to a competitive lifestyle that deprives individuals of simplicity, unselfishness, and mental relief. This has resulted in declining attitudes and thinking patterns, causing mental restlessness—the root of many disorders affecting students, youth, and adults. Addictions to smoking, drugs, alcohol, and internet pornography are prevalent, seen at our BACP clinic, alongside those who have lost mental balance due to disappointment and economic difficulties.
Intense mental restlessness has fueled the rise of various mental disorders. BACP approaches using Buddhist Counselling Psychotherapy have proven effective for five common disorders: depression, phobias, stress and anxiety disorder, psychogenic disorder, and personality disorder. For more severe conditions like schizophrenia and psychotic depression, BACP cognitive therapy, combined with medications, helped normalize behavior.
Young individuals often destroy their lives through addiction and neglect advice from parents and teachers. To address their abnormal behavior, a turning point is necessary. BACP, along with Buddhist counselling psychotherapy, has been instrumental in fostering positive attitudes and helping those in deep distress reclaim their lives.

The course fee is presently Rs. 55,000 (The registration fee is Rs. 3,000 and the course fee is Rs. 52,000). This all-inclusive fee is charged to cover lectures, tutorials and examinations and access to computer laboratory facilities and library.
The fees should be credited to, Account No 0207 1000 0760 of the Sampath Bank in favour of Nāgānanda International Institute for Buddhist Studies, at the Sampath Bank Makola Branch or any branch of Sampath Bank. Normally, fees paid will not be refunded. However, requests for refund of fees may be considered if made before the expiry of one week from the date of commencement of lectures for each semester.
